About PokéPuzzles

Daily Pokémon puzzles, one site

PokéPuzzles is a free collection of daily Pokémon puzzles. Each mode asks a different kind of question — name a Pokémon from its weakness chart or from profile clues, put eight Pokémon in order by a base stat, pin a location on the region map, recognise a cry — and each daily puzzle is the same for every player on a given day.

It is made for people who know the games well enough to enjoy being tested on them. No account, no download: open a mode, solve it, compare your result with friends, and come back tomorrow for a new one.

The modes

  • Classic — a Pokémon Wordle. Each guess is compared with the target on types, generation, height, weight and evolution family.
  • Weakness — you see only the target's damage-taken chart and have to work out which Pokémon has that defensive profile.
  • Rank — eight Pokémon and one base stat to put them in order by. The stat rotates daily, and VGC mode turns it into a head-to-head streak.
  • PokéGuessr — a picture of a place in the Pokémon world and the region map; the closer your pin lands, the higher the score.
  • Image — a Pokémon's official artwork, pixelated or as a silhouette; every miss makes it clearer.
  • Sound — listen to a Pokémon's cry and name it, with generation and type hints unlocking as you miss.
  • Pokénections — sixteen Pokémon hiding four groups of four; find what links each group before your four mistakes run out.
  • Combeene — six Pokémon around a hexagon with a link on each side; place them so every link holds, in five checks.
  • Party — the puzzles as a live race against friends in a shared room.

How the daily puzzles work

Every daily puzzle is picked by a formula from the date rather than at random, so the answer is identical for everyone and nobody is handed an easier one. The day rolls over at midnight Spanish time.

Your progress, streaks and statistics are stored in your own browser. Nothing is tied to an account, which also means clearing your browser data resets them.

Where to start

If you are new, start with Classic: its feedback teaches you how the Pokédex is organised, and a game rarely takes more than a few minutes. Weakness rewards type-chart knowledge, Rank rewards knowing base stats, and PokéGuessr rewards having actually walked the regions. Sound is the hardest of all — leave it for when you want a real challenge.

FAQ

Is PokéPuzzles free?

Yes. Every mode is free to play, with no account and no purchases. The site is supported by voluntary donations.

Is this an official Pokémon game?

No. PokéPuzzles is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nintendo, Creatures, GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company. Species data comes from PokeAPI, the open community database.

Why did my streak reset?

A streak counts consecutive days with the daily puzzle solved. Missing a day ends it, and so does clearing your browser data or switching device, because progress is stored locally.
